In our studio we offer both walk-in and class experiences in fused glass and glass mosaics, as well as finished and custom glass pieces for sale.
FUSED GLASS
Fused glass is the process of taking colored glass and layering it to create a design, which is then fired in a kiln to create the final product. We have walk-in ready fused glass available every day for simple projects like pendants, coasters, and sun catchers and in our fused glass classes we teach cutting, etching, and other techniques for creating limitlessly with fused glass. Class projects range from bowls, plates and platters to intricate jewelry, vases, and other beautiful glass treasures.
GLASS MOSAICS
Glass mosaicing is the process of clipping glass and laying it out on a surface like a puzzle to create a picture or other mosaic. At The Pottery Bar we create on both wood surfaces, and glass surfaces offering the opportunity to create wall art or pieces to hang so that light shines through the glass. Once glass is laid out on the surface the spaces between each piece of glass are filled with grout to finish the piece and ensure the longevity of your art.
